أَبْرَدُ
[More, and most, cold, or chill, or cool].
2 [Hence,] الأَبْرَدَانِ and The morning,
between daybreak and sunrise, and the evening, between sunset and nightfall; also called العَصْرَانِ and الصَّرْعَانِ and الرِّدْفَانِ: or the morning-shade and evening-shade: so called because of their coldness, or coolness.

4 ثَوْرٌ أَبْرَدُ A bull upon which are spots, or patches, of white and black: of the dial. of El-Yemen.
5 And الأَبْرَدُ The leopard: fem. with ة: pl. الأَبَارِدُ. The female is also called الخَيْثَمَةُ.
