Full Definition

أَرْأَسٌ Having a large head; applied to a man, and to a sheep or goat, and to a stallion; (TA; [but فحل, there, is perhaps a mistake for رَجُلٌ;]) as also رُؤَاسِىٌّ ; which is likewise applied to a man, and to a stallion, but not to a sheep or goat; and رَوَّاسِىٌّ; (TA in art. روس;) and رُؤَاسٌ ; applied to a stallion; and مَرْؤُوسٌ : fem. of the first, رَأْسَآءُ.
2 Also رَأْسَآءُ A ewe, or she-goat, having a black head and face, the rest of her being white.
