Full Definition

أرّجII , [and app. also,] He perfumed a thing; made it fragrant.
2 [Both also app. signify He made perfume to diffuse, or exhale, its odour: or made it to have a hot, or strong, odour.
3 And hence,] أرّج, Verbal.Noun تَأْرِيجٌ; and , Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun أَرْجٌ; He excited discord, dissension, disorder, strife, quarrelling, or animosity, بَيْنَ القَوْمِ between, or among, the people, or company of men, like أَرَّشَ, and فِي الحَرْبِ in war. And أرّج الحَرْبَ, and , He kindled war, or the war; and in like manner, النَّارَ the fire.
