أَنْفَةُ

Full Definition

أَنْفَةُ The beginning, or commencement, of prayer; i. e. the first saying of اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ: accord. to a relation of a trad., in which it occurs, with damm, [أُنْفَة,] but correctly with fet-h. The ة seems to be here added to أَنْف as it is in ذَنَبَةٌ for ذَنَبٌ.
