def.2 You say also, ارتملت فُلَانَةُ فِى بَنِيهَا Such a woman maintained, or undertook the maintenance of, her children, her husband having died. (O, TA. [But in both I find فى بيتها, an obvious mistranscription, for which I read فى بَنِيهَا; and in the explanation, in both, اقامت عليهم, for which I read قَامَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ.])
