Full Definition

ابتأسVIII , and مِنْهُ, He was distressed by it, or at it; it does not signify dislike: or he grieved at it, and humbled and abased himself: so in the Kur xi. 38 and xii. 69. It is said of a man when a thing that he dislikes becomes known to him.
