Full Definition

احتذىVIII He wore, or put on, a sandal, or sandals. Hence the saying, خَيْرُ مَنِ ٱحْتَذَى النِّعَالَ [The best of those who have worn sandals]. A rájiz says, كُلَّ الحِذَآءِ يَحْتَذِى الحَافِى الوَقِعْ [The barefooted whose sole is hurt by the rugged ground and stones will put on any sandal: a prov.].
