Full Definition

ارقصهُIV [He made him to dance; or to play, or sport;] trans. of 1. You say, أَرْقَصَتْ وَلَدَهَا, or صَبِيَّهَا, She [danced, or dandled, her child; or] made her child to leap or spring or bound [in her arms or on her knee]; as also رقّصتهُ , Verbal.Noun تَرْقِيصٌ: or the latter verb has an intensive signification.
2 ارقص بَعِيرَهُ He made his camel to go in the [ambling] manner termed خَبَبٌ: and the same, or رقّصهُ , he made him to leap, spring, or bound.
