أَزِفَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun أَزَفٌ and أُزُوفٌ, It was, or became, or drew, near: and in like manner, a time. Hence, in the Kur [liii. 58], أَزِفَتِ الآزِفَةُ The resurrection draweth near.
2 He hastened, or was quick: or he drew near, and hastened, or was quick.
