Full Definition

اِسْنَفَلَّX He was independent, or alone; with none to share, or participate, with him. [And اِسْتَقَلَّ بِنَفْسِهِ, the same; or he managed his affairs, by himself alone, thoroughly, soundly, or vigorously.] And هُوَ لاَ يَسْتَقِلُّ بِهٰذَا He is not able [by himself] to do this.
2 اِسْتَقَلَّ He was independent of all others; absolute.
3 اِسْتَقلَّ He rose, or raised himself, with a burden: and a bird in his flight.
4 اُسْتُقِلَّ غَضَبًا He became affected with a tremour, or trembling, by anger.
5 اِسْتَقَلَّ بِالشَّىْءِ i. q. اِسْتَبَدَّ بِهِ. (TA in art. حكر.)
