Full Definition

اِشْتَبَهَاVIII and They resembled each other so that they became confounded, or confused, or dubious. And اشتبه and تشابه It was, or became, ambiguous, dubious, or obscure, عَلَىَّ [to me], or عَلَيْهِ [to him]: and عَلَيْهِ الأَمْرُ the thing, or affair, was rendered confused, or dubious, to him: and شَبَهٌ الشَّىْءُ, also, [see مُشْتَبِهٌ,] the thing was, or became, confused, or dubious.
