اغتمدVIII He entered into [the darkness of] the night; as though it became as a غِمْد to him; like as one says اِدَّرَعَ اللَّيْلَ: and simply اغتمد he ventured upon, encountered, or braved, the night, (رَكِبَهُ,) to seek food for his family.
