الفَاسِيَةُ

The [beetle called] خُنْفَسَآء; which emits a noiseless wind, and makes the party to stink by its foul odour: the pl. of the first is الفَوَاسِى. Hence the prov., أَفْحَشُ مِنْ فَاسِيَةٍ i. e. [More foul than] aخنفساء.
