الفُهْرُ , or فُهْرُ اليَهُودِ, The synagogue of the Jews, in which they assemble for prayer on the occasion of their festival: or a certain day on which they eat and drink: or it signifies also a certain festival of the Jews: [app. the feast of Purim ]: accord. to A 'Obeyd, a Hebrew word, or Nabathæan; arabicized; originally بُهْر; and the Christians say فُخْر.
