آصِرَةٌ

Full Definition

آصِرَةٌ , and its pl. آصِرَاتٌ: see إصَارٌ, in three places: of which last word, the first is also a pl.
2 The thing termed آخِيَّة and آرِىّ [to which a beast is tied].
3 A tie of kindred, or relationship, or affinity, or a favour, or benefit, that inclines one to a man; or because it inclines one: pl. أَوَاصِرُ. One says, مَا عَلَى فُلَانٍ آصِرَةٌ No tie of relationship, nor any favour, or benefit, inclines me to such a one. And عَطَفَ عَلَىَّ بِغَيْرِ آصِرَهْ وَنَظَرَ فِى أَمْرِى بِغَيْرِ بَاصِرَهْ [He inclined to me without any tie of relationship, &c., and examined my case without eye]. [See also إِصْرٌ.]
