بَائِضٌ

Full Definition

بَائِضٌ A hen, or bird, and the like, laying an egg or eggs: without ة because the cock does not lay eggs: or it is applied also to a cock, and to a crow, [as meaning begetting an egg or eggs,] in like manner as one uses the word وَالِدٌ.
