بَرِدٌ Possessing coldness or coolness: an epithet applied to the [plant called] صِلِّيَان.
2 سَحَابٌ بَرِدٌ, and أَبْرَدُ , Clouds containing hail and cold. You say also سَحَابَةٌ بَرِدَةٌ A cloud containing hail and cold; but not سحابة بَرْدَآءُ.
