بَلَد [or country, or town, &c.], and kept to it.
2 And بَلِدُوا, Present.T ـَ; and بَلَدُوا, Present.T ـُ; or the latter is correctly بلّدوا ; They kept to the ground, fighting upon it: said to be derived from بِلَادُ الأَرْضِ.
