تحاتّVI It became rubbed and scraped off; as also : it became scattered, strewn, or dispersed; or became so by degrees, part after part; syn. تَنَاثَرَ. And تحاتّ الوَرَقُ, or تَحَاتَّت; and , or انحتّت; and , [Present.T, app., حَتِتَ the verb being intrans.,] Verbal.Noun حَتٌّ; and ; The leaves became rubbed and scraped off: or fell from the branch &c.: or fell successively, one after another. And تحاتّت الشَّجَرَةُ The tree shed its leaves, one after another. And شَعَرُهُ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ His hair fell off from his head. And تحاتّت أَسْنَانُهُ His teeth fell out, one after another.
2 [Hence,] تحاتّت ذُنُوبُهُ His sins fell from him.
