The making a thing to be common, general, or universal; the generalizing it; contr. of
تَخْصِيصٌ. (K in art. خص.)
def.2 عَمَّمْتُهُ I attired him with the عِمَامَة [or turban]. And عُمِّمَ رَأْسُهُ His head was wound round with the عِمَامَة [or turban]; as also .
