Full Definition

تمرّأV He affected, or endeavoured to acquire, (تَكَلَّفَ,) manliness, مُرُوْءَة: accord. to some, he became possessed of that quality.
2 تمرّأ بِهِمْ He sought to acquire the character of manliness (مُرُوْءَة) by disparaging them and vituperating them.
3 لَا يَتَمَرَّأْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِالدُّنْيَا [app., Let not any one of you delight himself in the present world]: but accord. to one relation, it is لَا يَتَمَرْأَى, from الرُّؤْيَةُ: [see art. رأى]. [See also تَهَنَّأَ.]
