Full Definition

توحّشV He became wild, or shy; syn. أَبَدَ, (S, A, K, &c., in art. أبد,) and تَأَبَّدَ. And He became unsocial, unsociable, unfamiliar, or shy; like a wild animal; syn. أَبِدَ, and تَأَبَّدَ: and استوحش signifies the same; or he became, or made himself, as though on a par with the wild animals; expl. by لَحِقَ بَالْوَحْشِ.
