جُبْنٌ and جُبُنٌ and جُبُنٌّ , the first of which is the most approved, and the last the most rare, and said by some to be used only in a case of necessity in poetry, [Cheese;] a certain thing that is eaten, well known: n. un. جُبْنَةٌ, a word having a more particular signification than جُبْنٌ, meaning a قُرص [or round, flattened, loaf] thereof, [or a cheese, or piece of cheese,] as also جُبُنَةٌ and جُبُنَّةٌ.
