2 الحَارِثُ, (K, [also written الحٰرِثُ, in the CK, erroneously, الحَرَثُ,]) as a generic proper name, and أَبُو الحَارِثِ, the latter the better known, The lion: because he is the prince of beasts of prey, and the strongest to acquire.
