حَاقِفٌ A gazelle [lying] bent together, or curled, like a حِقْف of sand, in his sleep, or in consequence of a wound &c.: or lying upon his breast on a حِقْف of sand: or, as some say, upon, or at, the lower, or lowest, part of a حِقْف.
