حَرِيثَةٌ : see حَرْثٌ.

def.2 The pl., حَرَائِثُ, also signifies Camels emaciated by travel: originally applied to horses: of camels you [generally] say, أَحْرَفْنَاهَا [“ we rendered them lean ”], with ف; and نَاقَةٌ حَرْفٌ means “ a lean she-camel. ”
