Full Definition

حَمِيرٌ Anything pared, or peeled; divested, or stripped, of its superficial part, peel, bark, coat, covering, crust, or the like; as also مَحْمُورٌ . [See 1.]
2 Also, and حَمِيرَةٌ , i. q. أُشْكُزٌّ, i. e. A thong, or strap, white, and having its outside pared, in a horse's saddle, or with which horses' saddles are bound, or made fast: so called because it is pared.
