خَرِيرٌ A depressed tract between two hills, stretching along: pl. أَخِرَّةٌ. The pl. occurs in a verse of Lebeed, commencing بِأَخِرَّةِ الثَّلَبُوتِ, as Khalaf El-Ahmar heard the Arabs recite it: so says A'Obeyd: but the common reading is بِأَحِزَّة, with ح and ز.
