Full Definition

خِلْعَةٌ Any garment which one pulls off, or takes off, from himself: and particularly, a garment which is bestowed upon a man, [generally meaning a robe of honour,] whether it be put upon him or not: or a gift, or free gift, [of any kind,] which a man bestows upon another: or a sewed garment: pl. خِلَعٌ. You say, خَلَعَ عَلَيْهِ خِلْعَةً [explained above]: see 1, near the beginning.
