دِخْرِيصٌ and دِخْرِيصَةٌ, (TA voce تِخْرِيصٌ,) or دِخْرِصٌ and , or the last two are sometimes used, and are dial. vars. of the first. [A gore] of a shirt, and of a coat of mail, or [any] garment; a piece with which it is widened; that with which the body thereof is joined together to widen it; i. q. تِخْرِيصٌ, which is a dial. var.; arabicized, from تِيرِيزٌ, (Lth, K voce تخريص,) which is Persian; called by the Arabs [in their proper language] بَنِيقَةٌ [q. v.]: or, as some say, Arabic: pl. دَخَارِيصُ.
