دَخْنَانٌ A hot, or an intensely hot, day: and لَيْلَةٌ دَخْنَانَةٌ a night intensely hot, in which the heat is such as takes away the breath; as though it were overspread by smoke: or a dusky, or dingy, night, inclining to blackness.
