دَعَكَهُI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun دَعْكٌ, He rubbed it, or rubbed and pressed it, or did so well, and softened it; namely, a skin, or hide.
2 He softened its roughness by wearing it.
3 He softened him, and subdued him, or rendered him submissive; namely, an adversary, or antagonist; and so مَعَكَهُ, Verbal.Noun مَعْكٌ.
4 دَعَكَهُ فِى التُّرَابِ He rolled him, or turned him over, in the dust.
5 دَعَكْتُ الرَّجُلَ بِالقَوْلِ I pained the man by speech.
