دكّنهُ ; He put the goods, household-goods, or furniture and utensils, one upon another. [In the TA, this is said to be tropical: if so, it seems that the proper signification is, He made the goods,
def.2 , دَكِنَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun دَكَنٌ, It was, or became, of a blackish colour; of a colour inclining to blackness: or of a colour inclining to that of dust; [or brown; i. e.] of a colour between redness and blackness: and [originally اِدْتَكَنَ] signifies the same as دكن [app. دَكِنَ]. And دَكِنَ said of a garment, It became dirty and dust-coloured.
