def.3 دَمَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun دُمُورٌ and دَمْرٌ, He intruded upon them; went, or came, in to them without permission: or intruded upon them in an evil manner. It is said in a trad., مَنْ سَبَقَ طَرْفُهُ ٱسْتِئْذَانَهُ فَقَدْ دَمَرَ He whose look precedes his asking permission [does that which is as bad as the act of him who] enters without permission. And it is said, إِذَا دَخَلْتَ الدُّورَ إِيَّاكَ وَ الدُّمُورَ When thou enterest houses, [meaning, desirest to enter them,] beware of entering without permission.
