ذَمَرَI , Verbal.Noun ذَمْرٌ, He roared.

def.2 ذَمَرَهُ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun ذَمْرٌ, He excited, incited, urged, or instigated, him, with chiding, or reproof, and encouraged him, عَلَى الأَمْرِ to do the thing; as also ذمّرهُ : and he threatened him; and was angry with him.

def.3 ذَمَرَهُ, Present.T ـُ; and ذمّرهُ , [Verbal.Noun تَذْمِيرٌ;] He felt his مُذَمَّر [q. v.]. You say also, ذَمَرَ الرَّاعِى السَّلِيلَ The pastor felt the place where the head of the young camel just born was set upon the neck, to know if it were a male or a female: [or its Verbal.Noun, ذَمْرٌ, signifies the same as] a man's inserting the hand into the vulva of a she-camel, to discover if her fœtus be a male or a female.
