Full Definition

رَاكِضٌ , applied to a horse, Running; as also رَكُوضٌ : or the correct epithet is مَرْكُوضٌ : and رَكَّاضَةٌ signifies the same, applied to a mare. [Hence,] بِتُّ أَرْعَى النُّجُومَ وَهْىَ رَوَاكِضُ I passed the night observing the stars while they moved along in the sky.
