رُبَدٌ [app. pl. of رُبْدَةٌ] The diversified wavy marks, streaks, or grain, (فِرِنْد,) of a sword: of the dial, of Hudheyl. You say سَيْفٌ ذُو رُبَدٍ A sword [having such marks;] خَشِيبَةٌ in which one sees what resembles dust, or the tracks of ants. [See an ex. in a verse of Sakhr, cited voce رُبْدَةٌ.]
