رَسِلَ

Root: رسل

Form: 1

Full Definition

رَسِلَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun رَسَلٌ and رَسَالَ, He was, or became, easy in pace.
2 Also, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun رَسَلٌ and رَسَالَةٌ, as above, It became lank, not crisp; and so استرسل : or lank and pendent: or long, and lank or pendent. لَا يَجِبُ غَسْلُ مَا مِنَ البِّحْيَةِ means [The washing] of what hangs down, and descends, [of the beard,] from the chin [is not requisite, or necessary, or incumbent].

def.2 [Golius says, as on the authority of the KL, that رَسَلَ signifies Nuncium misit: but what I find in the KL is, that رَسُولٌ, as an Verbal.Noun, signifies the bringing a message (پيغام بردن) : whence it seems that رَسَلَ means he brought a message.]
