Full Definition

زَارِعٌ [act. part. n. of 1:] i. q. زَرَّاعٌ [One who sows:] one who ploughs up, tills, or cultivates, land: pl. زُرَّاعٌ. By this pl., in the Kur xlviii. 29, are meant Mohammad and his Companions, the inviters to El-Islám.
2 Causing to grow, vegetate, or germinate: causing to increase: pl. with ون.

def.2 Also The name of a certain dog: whence أَوْلَادُ زَارِعٍ meaning dogs.
