زَاهِرٌ [Shining; &c. See 1.]
2 Applied to a زَنْد, or piece of stick, or wood, for producing fire, Emitting shining fire; making its fire to shine.
3 Applied to a plant, Beautiful: and to the complexion of a man, bright; shining: and i. q. أَزْهَرُ, q. v.
4 أَحْمَرُ زَاهِرٌ Intensely red.
5 لِفُلَانٍ دَوْلَةٌ زَاهِرَةٌ [Such a one has a brilliant turn of fortune].
