ـَ; but the latter is outweighed [in authority]; like سَدَجَ: and so
سرّج : and شَرَجَ. (O and K * in art. شرج.) You say, تَكَلَّمَ فُلَانٌ بِكَلِمَةٍ فَسَرَجَ عَلَيْهَا [Such a one spoke a word, or sentence, and followed it with a lie].
2 And سَرَجَ الكَذِبَ, Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun سَرْجٌ, He forged the lie. [See also 2.]
