سَفْسَفَ
R. Q. 1 Verbal.Noun سَفْسَفَةٌ, He cleared, or sifted, (اِنْتَخَلَ,) flour, and the like, with the مُنْخُل [or sieve], and the like. One says, سَمِعْتُ سَفْسَفَةَ المُنْخُلِ [I heard the sifting of the sieve].
2 And سَفْسَفَ عَمَلَهُ He did his deed imperfectly, or not soundly.
3 And سَفْسَفَتِ الرِيحُ The wind raised the fine dust, blowing a little above the surface of the earth.
