سُودَدٌ a subst. from سَادَ, Verbal.Noun سِيَادَةٌ; signifying [The rank, station, or condition, or the quality or qualities, of a سَيِّد; i. e. chiefdom, lordship, mastery, &c.; or] glory, honour, dignity, or eminence, exalted or elevated state, or nobility: or this word, and its vars. سُودُدٌ and سُؤْدَدٌ and سُؤْدُدٌ, of the dial. of Teiyi, and , are syn. with سِيَادَةٌ and سَيْدُودَةٌ as inf. ns. of سَادَ [q. v.].
