سَالَI
, said of water, or of a thing, Present.T يَسِيلُ, Verbal.Noun سَيْلٌ and سَيَلَانٌ and مَسِيلٌ and مَسَالٌ, It flowed, or ran: or, said of water, it rose so as to become excessively copious, and flowed, or ran: and سال said of thing, it was, or became, fluid, or liquid; contr. of جَمَدَ.
2 The Arabs say, سَالَ بِهِمُ السَّيْلُ وَجَاشَ بِنَا البَحْرُ [The torrent flowed with them, and the sea estuated with us so as to be unnavigable;] meaning,
3 And سَالَتْ عَلَيْهِ الخَيْلُ
4 And سالت الغُرَّةُ
