شِيَاعٌ

Full Definition

شِيَاعٌ The reed-pipe of the pastor; the instrument with which the pastor blows; so named because he calls together the camels with it: or the sound of the pastor's reed-pipe.
2 And Callers, or summoners; syn. دُعَاةٌ, pl. of دَاعٍ: in the Tekmileh, دُعَآء [a call, or calling, &c.].

def.2 Also, and شَيَاعٌ , but the former is the more chaste, Slender firewood, with which a fire is made to blaze or flame, burn up, or burn brightly or fiercely: and شَيُوعٌ signifies [the same, i. e.] slender firewood that is quickly kindled by a weak fire, so that it prevails over the thick, or large, firewood.
