Full Definition

طَامِرٌ The flea; [because of its leaping;] and so طَامِرُ بْنُ طَامِرٍ: pl. طَوَامِرُ. One says, أَشْهَرُ مِنْ طَامِرِ بْنِ طَامِرٍ i. e. [More commonly known] than the flea.
2 And طَامِرُ بْنُ طَامِرٍ means also The remote, who, as well as his father, is unknown: or the man who is unknown, or whose place whence he comes is unknown.
