عَافِيَةٌ a subst. from عَافَاهُ ٱللّٰهُ, q. v., and from الإِعْفَآءُ [Verbal.Noun of 4, q. v.], signifying Health, or soundness, and safety, or security: [or, as it may be best rendered, health and safety, considered as proceeding from God; i. e.] God's defence of a man from diseases and from trial: or freedom from evil.
