عَجْمٌ
The young of camels; such as the
بَنَات لَبُون
and
حِقَاق
and
جِذَاع: thus far: when they have entered upon the state of إِثْنَآء, they are of the جِلَّة thereof: applied to the male and to the female: pl. عُجُومٌ [app. meaning young camels of different ages not exceeding the age of the
جَذَع].
def.2 And The root, or base, of the tail; which is the عُصْعُص; as also عُجْمٌ ; like عَجْبٌ [and عُجْبٌ]; [each] a dial. var. of عجب; or, accord. to Lh, the م is a substitute for the ب of عجب.
