عَقَّةٌ A deep excavation, hollow, cavity, trench, or the like, in the ground; as also عِقٌّ , accord. to the K, there said to be with kesr, but correctly عَقٌّ , with fet-h, [q. v.,] which signifies an elongated excavation in the ground, and is originally an Verbal.Noun; thus in the L.
