عَنَانٌ
Clouds: or, accord. to some, clouds appearing, or presenting themselves, or extending sideways, in the horizon; as also
سَحَابٌ عَانٌّ : such as retain the water: one whereof is termed
عَنَانَةٌ , and

2 And عَنَانُ السَّمَآءِ, in the K said to be , with kesr, but the former is the right, The lofty region of the sky: or what appears, of the sky, to one looking at it. (K. [See also أَعْنَانٌ.])
3 And عَنَانُ الدَّارِ, likewise with fet-h, accord. to the K , with kesr, which is wrong, The side of the house, that appears to one.
